Forensic Linguistics Tour

Prior to writing this note, the writer had posted on the internet that he intended to kill a number of people: "I'm coming for EVERYONE soon and I WILL be armed to the @#%$ teeth and I WILL shoot to kill." After writing this note he gunned down four people at a church in Englewood, Colorado. Analaysis of the note depicts an individual who seems himself as different from others: he is 'nicer', has 'integrity', ad is critical of the 'behaviours' and 'attitudes' of others, especially 'Christians', whom he accuses of being 'hypocrtical' and 'controlled by lust'. Note the UK spellings of 'saviour' and 'behaviours'. Forensic linguistics are now using lexical mining techniques to monitor internet postings for patterns which indicate escalative language behaviours.
