Established in 1995, the Forensic Linguistics Institute has handled over
300 criminal and civil inquiries on behalf of police forces and lawyers from
around the world. Here we analyse, measure and compare criminal and
other language samples of all kinds, from anonymous hate mail letters, to
terrorist threat texts, from perpetrator-transmitted SMS messages to
suicide notes, surveillance tapes and recovered audio from crime scenes.
We have state of the art computer equipment and software, professional
audio enhancement technology and secure storage facilities. We have
extensive corpuses of criminal case texts which greatly facilitate
authorship identifications, social profiles and crime typology networks.
