Shows how to transcribe interview tapes, what to look for, how to summarise, what not to summarise, and how to set out a transcription. The assignments use actual examples from past cases. Theories of authorship £50.00This course will help you to understand some of the theoretical issues involved in authorship attribution, including language variation, text and genre types, and types of authorship test. The course examines some theoretical aspects of authorship attribution, including the social constructedness of the notion of 'author' and previously unpublished material on author variation. Practical authorship attribution £50.00This course takes actual texts from past cases and gets you actively involved in searching for authorship attribution clues. An example model report of an actual forensic linguistic investigation is included. This is an opportunity to take a close look at how authorship attribution works. Note: you are welcome to take any of our courses simply for the experience. Or you can combine them into modules and take our certificate course as shown above.
